Biography Chris Layton

Drummer Chris “whipper” Layton was born in 1955

in Corpus Christie / Texas.
Moved in 1975 to Austin / Texas.

In 1978 he formed with bassist Tommy Shannon

Double Trouble,
Together they played years with the legendary

Stevie Ray Vaughn.

In the early 90^th’s he formed with Tommy Shannon,
Doyle Bramhall II and Charlie Sexton the Arc Angels.

After the dissolution of the band Chris has worked with

various artists,include: Malford Miligan, David Grisson,

Kenny Wayne Sheperd.

In 1994 Chris formed together with Tommy Shannon and

Malford Miligan, Story Ville.
With their album they obtained 9! Austin Music Awards.

In addition, Chris worked on various musical projects.
Meanwhile he regularly act with

the Arc Angels by several occasions,
and since the re-establishment of the band busy touring.
