Doyle was born on December 24, 1968 in Dallas / Texas.
He is a singer / songwriter and an excellent guitar player.
He comes from a very musical family.
His father is singer / songwriter and drummer Doyle Bramhall,
who has worked with big names: Stevie Ray Vaughn,

Lightning Hopkins, Albert King etc etc.

These big names of the blues world have a major impact on Doyle II.

Doyle has literally grown up with the Vaughn family,
the Bramhall and Vaughn have a number of years

lived together at the same house.

Also Jimmy Hendrix and Stevie Wonder have influenced
at Doyle. Doyle plays left-handed/upside down on the guitar.
So left-handed on a right-handed guitar.
He says that's always a very natural way of playing
has been for him, he grabbed the guitar always this way.

At age 16 he was on tour with Jimmy Vaughn’s Band
the Fabulous Thunderbirds as the second guitarist,

for more than two years.

After the death of Stevie Ray,
Doyle formed with Charlie Sexton, Chris Layton

and Tommy Shannon the Arc Angels.
Within 2 years the band split up and they each have their

personal career continued.

Doyle in the 90s made two solo CDs:
Doyle Bramhall II in 1996 and Jelly Cream in 1999.
The impact of this CD was on that level, that Roger Waters and

Eric Clapton called him and ask if he wanted to cooperate with them.

This resulted in a tour with Roger Waters ( "in the Flesh" tour) in late 90s early 2000.

With Eric Clapton Doyle he has worked on several CD's:

"Riding with the King" with BB King and EC

"Reptile"

"Sessions for Robert Johnson" CD and DVD

In 2001, Doyle made the CD "Welcome" with his band, Smoke Stack,

Since 2004, Doyle is the regular guitarist in Eric Clapton's band.

Doyle has also worked with Susan Tedeschi, Derek Trucks,
Erykah Badu, Sheryl Crow, Wendy and Lisa.

"Doyle has his own sound, no one sounds like Doyle",
